The US Army has developed a new weapon to add to their arsenal. The XM25 battle rifle allows a solder to kill a target that has taken cover and can’t be shot by a direct line of sight weapon. Air-burst rounds are not new to the battlefield but they are usually found in grenade launchers and have a limited range and accuracy. The XM25 combines the range and accuracy of a rifle with the devastation and versatility of a grenade launcher.
